LEAs arrest alleged TTP commander, 3 members

* Intelligence agency also claims recovering weapons, Jihadi literature from suspects

KARACHI: The Law Enforcement Agencies (LEAs) personnel have arrested three alleged members and a commander of the outlawed Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) from Karachi.

Sources said that the arrests were made when personnel of an intelligence agency on a tip-off carried out a raid at the hideout of suspects. At first, the three suspected TTP men were arrested while on their pointation, the authorities also apprehended their commander, Mullah Hakeem, who according to the sources was involved in over 100 cases of blowing up schools with explosive devices in Swat.

The arrests were made in Toori Bangash Colony in Orangi Town. The weapons and Jihadi literature were also recovered from their possession. The identities of the arrested men were not disclosed yet as they were being questioned at an undisclosed location. The officials concerned were not available for comments when contacted.
